Welcome to My Blog!

Hello! My name is Jennifer Blake, but most people call me Jen or Jenny.  I am from Catonsville, Maryland but am currently studying Communication at Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland.  Welcome to my lifestyle blog where I will post about my life and my passions.

So...Who am I? I'm an interior design-obsessing, calligraphy-practicing, Jesus-loving, hard-working gal.  I try to practice kindness towards everybody and virtue in my own life.  I will likely make an entire post about that one day.  Another thing - I LOVE my life.  I am abundantly blessed and though I, just like everybody, experience pain and hardship, I commit to gratitude.

One day I hope to become an interior designer and hopefully own an interior design company.  A lot of my inspiration comes from Pinterest, where I have an entire board focused on my #interiordesigngoals. Minimalist designs, white spaces, and rustic, beachy looks are my favorite.  Besides interior design, some of my interests include cooking, hanging out with my family, playing board games and cards, and shopping (H&M!!!!!).  I'm obsessed with anything white, blue, or grey - you should see my dorm room.

I named this blog The Refrigerator Door because of a quote I read on Pinterest saying, "I spend a lot of time holding the refrigerator door open looking for answers." #Relatable.  I don't know about you, but I am definitely guilty of standing with the refrigerator door open looking inside for literally no reason.  It's like life.  You search for who you are, sometimes in the wrong place, sometimes you find parts of who you are, and eventually you find yourself.  This blog is titled The Refrigerator Door because it will document my own experiences finding things I am passionate about.  Many of my posts will be college-lifestyle inspiration, home decor themes, and updates on my life.  I hope you enjoy reading!

I will work on developing my blog to include more on me as I go.  Thank you for being here and I hope you come again!
